Darwin Awards?

Remember the emails that used to go around years ago naming the Darwin Award nominees? Nominees were people who had done something so stupid they may have removed themselves permanately from the gene pool in an example of natural selection?

The following man may not have removed himself from the gene pool, but this move was as dumb as many others.

Lyrics Land Rapper In Prison Over Shooting Case

Rico Todriquez Wright, an up and coming Georgia rapper, had a lyric in a song: "Chad Blue knows how I shoot,"

The thing is though, Chad Blue is a real person and Wright did shoot him.

Chad Blue was shot in the thigh and groin after running and dodging bullets. He recovered and pointed authorities to Wright after he heard the song where he recognized the rapper's voice (let alone being called out by name). Authorities took the lyric as confession, and Wright was sentenced this week to 20 years in jail.
